The Role:
The purpose of the role is to Develop and provide 3rd Line Support for bespoke applications. The focus of the role is to develop high-quality software solutions in line with agreed standards for legal services divisions. The role involves all stages of traditional software application delivery including technical requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing software maintenance.
- Develop and support changes to web and windows service layer including API integrations with clients and 3rd party providers using both SOAP and Rest.
- Work within a well-established team with decades of legal processing experience to deliver market-leading innovation solutions.
- Develop data-agnostic solutions that allow effective data processing regardless of source.
- Write performant and scalable SQL code that will work effectively under high-volume processing.
- Work with the Senior .Net Developer and IT Development Manager to address technical debt and upgrade or replace existing platforms.
- Support the adoption of cloud hosting.
You:
You will be an experienced developer with previous commercial experience. They will be skilled in .Net and SQL technologies, and have a well-rounded skill set in front-end, business layer, integration, hosting and database development with strong commercial awareness. They will work to improve operational efficiencies, increase straight-through processing, deliver operational, client and regulatory changes and support UK expansion.
- 3+ Years .Net experience in web development/service/API development in a commercial environment.
- Comfortable developing in VB.Net
- Experience developing and supporting externally facing websites in line with best practice security guidelines.
- Good experience developing highly scalable web service integrations using SOAP and Rest with strong fundamental understanding of authentication and security techniques.
- SSL, TLS, OWASP, Penetration Testing and DDOS prevention methods.
- Strong experience on MVC, Entity Framework, JQuery, Bootstrap and supporting Nuget libraries.
- Experience supporting existing mature platforms and strong experience of SDLC including delivering software changes from initiation to implementation.
- Experience transposing business requirements and operational process flows into system solution designs.
- 3+ years SQL experience developing new database objects including stored procedures, functions and views. Experience in SSIS/SSRS and exposure to AWS RDS SQL Server would be beneficial
