The role
Reporting to their Cloud Computing Lead and supported by the rest of the Business Systems department, you will play a pivotal role in revolutionising the way they develop, deploy, and maintain their cutting-edge software solutions and you'll be at the forefront of driving efficiency and collaboration between their development and operations teams.
- Work with Business Systems Project Managers and Business Analysts to help deliver new or improved services and solutions in response to business requirements and demand
- Monitor, patch and update other 3rd party & customer development environments to ensure we meet security and accreditation requirements
- Provide ad-hoc support for projects where our developers need to set up build pipelines to make sure that they undertake package analysis, code quality analysis and code vulnerability analysis
- Provide tier 3 support for our development environments
- Perform root cause analysis and provide workarounds for problems relating to our services
- Represent yourself (when required) at weekly change advisory board and problem management meetings (virtually)
- Liaise with tier 4 support (i.e., 3rd party suppliers, vendors, and Cloud Service Providers)
- Produce any required documentation, e.g. Designs, Test Plans, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions & Knowledgebase Articles.
You
We're looking for someone with the following set of skills/experience
- Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) or equivalent demonstrable experience
- ITIL Foundation Certification or relevant experience working in an ITIL-aligned organisation
- Awareness of DevSecOps and Agile principles
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps and Azure DevOps Server
- Knowledge of programming languages
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Understand secure coding principles and vulnerability management of software
- Understand containerisation and container deployment
- Understand virtual machine infrastructure automation (infrastructure as code)
